Thank You Target

For several years now, Target has been launching exclusive collaborations with designers who would normally be out of the price range of the average Target shopper. Although they've had some very cool collections with designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, William Rast and Alice Temperley, I've never really taken advantage of them. That is until now. When they came out with a line of Splendid Littles this past summer, I snagged one cute fall outfit for Sophie and now wish that I would have gotten more. Thanks to Target, Sophie will also be sporting a few Missoni pieces this winter. I can't wait to see her in the zig zags! So thank you, Target, for helping me keep Sophie's wardrobe on trend even if mine isn't.

In the Land of Bows

We made a quick stop at Palace Courtyard yesterday, or as I like to call it, The Land of Bows. I wish I could say it was a cool, live version of Etsy like the Renegade Craft Fair (which I'm dying to check out!) but its really so far from that. Still, it's a good spot to pick up hair bows on the cheap. Here is Sophie modeling a few.

P.S. This Saturday post is a special treat for Ammy. She loves it when we post on the weekend :)

Here Kitty, Kitty

Now that we've had a drop in temperature, (finally!) I've been leaving the front door open so that we can enjoy some fresh air. If we are home in the late afternoon, we've noticed a little visitor likes to come around. Nacho is our friendly neighborhood cat. He doesn't seem to belong to any one family, but makes his rounds and a few of us take pity on him and feed him. With the front door open, both Sophie and Lulu now like to keep an eye out for Nacho and both are very excited when he shows up!

Spring Break 2029

I wonder if this ever happens to other parents? Today I dressed Sophie in what I thought was an especially cute outfit. I didn't do it on purpose, I think all of her clothes are cute. For some reason I just really liked this on her. I was excited that the temperature had dropped a little and I could pull out a pair of pants. Her hair was looking a little crazy because it got the yogurt treatment thanks to breakfast, so I threw on a headband and she actually left it there.  Here is what the cute outfit looked like:

I then handed Sophie a sippy cup of water. Remember she really digs the cup these days. I walked down the hallway to her room to grab something, turning my back for just a minute. When I came back, I realized that Sophie had decided to have an impromptu wet t-shirt contest. I have no idea how she could literally chug and spit back out that entire sippy cup full of water in under a minute. She was soaked and she managed to do this all while crawling down the hallway after me. Chug, spit, crawl, chug, spit, crawl.

So off came the cute outfit and on went something else. Better luck next time.

Taking After Mom

Although she hasn't actually had cake or a cupcake yet, Sophie already knows that she will love them. When we were in a bakery the other day, I could barely tear her away from the cupcake display. Smart girl, she's already taking after me. I can't wait to see her smash a cake on her birthday!

Bathing Beauty

Or maybe this is more this is more of a prized fighter look? Either way I'm loving the mini bathrobe.
