Spring Break: Day Five
We rounded out our spring break festivities with a trip down memory lane today. Sophie, Pop and I headed down to Storyland to ride the train and explore the park. The loud train made her a little nervous at first but she quickly warmed up to it. It was one of our favorite spring break activities last year too. After lunch and a nap, we did some Easter baking. Cookies with "lem lems" of course!

Spring Break: Day Four
Thursday was another busy day for us. After a quick check up for me and Big Boy at the doctor's office, Sophie and I managed to squeeze in a Costco trip and some park time before lunch with Mimi, Ammy and Baba. After lunch we were both ready for a nap and then we were off again to visit Chase and Sara at work and pick up some Easter treats from "Big Kathy." We ended our fourth day of spring break with dinner at Gigi and George's house.

Spring Break: Day Three
Today we spent a warm, sunny morning at the park with a bunch of Sophie's friends from The Little Gym. We went to a great new park and the girls had a great time chasing each other around. Sophie is getting so daring and will climb just about anything now. On the way home from the park, we stopped for a quick bite of frozen yogurt before nap time. In the afternoon, we headed over to Gigi's house to dye more Easter eggs!

Spring Break: Day Two
Day two of our spring break started off with a little me-time (woo hoo!) as I headed off for a hair appointment. Meanwhile Sophie enjoyed some multi-generational time with Mimi, Ammy and Baba. In the afternoon we dyed Easter eggs. Sophie loved it and with only one spill, it wasn't nearly as messy as I feared.

Spring Break: Day One
Today started off with a trip to the park to meet up with some friends. There was climbing, sliding, swinging and a picnic. We then we hit up our mutual favorite store, Target to pick up some Easter goodies and Sophie picked out her first set of Play-Doh. After her nap, we cracked open the Play-Doh and she sculpted away, telling me that she was making a colorful bird. We ended our afternoon by baking some yummy banana bread together. It was a great day to kick off our spring break.

Whoop! Whoop!
It's spring break people. Once again I'm here to report that we are not headed anywhere this year, no travel for me plus real life doesn't really have a spring break, but it doesn't mean we can't have a little fun. All of our usual activities for the week are cancelled so I will be trying to entertain Sophie with as little physical effort on my part as possible! I'm feeling a little like a whale these days so traipsing around the zoo or climbing through an inflatable maze isn't that appealing, but we've got some park play dates lined up and a few other fun activities. We kicked off our week with a walk to the park down the street with Chase on Sunday where Sophie loved sharing her favorite activities with him.

Dear Zoo
This is another one of Sophie's favorite stories to read on her own.

Sprinkling Our Little Man
This weekend, my mom, Madi and Libby threw the sweetest "sprinkle" to help celebrate our little man. I say little man, but we all call him Big Boy thanks to Sophie. Poor guy will probably never lose that nickname. I wish I had taken more pictures, but it was a beautiful afternoon with family and friends and I received so many sweet gifts. We officially have 8 weeks to go, but I'm hoping it will be a little less!
