Mohawks

As Sophie's hair grows longer, it often forms what can only be described as an awesome baby mohawk. Although I have been accused of styling it, I swear to you this mohawk is all natural.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy day to all the wonderful mothers out there! I enjoyed a beautiful day as a new mom and couldn't have asked for anything more.

More Than Just Smiles

It isn't always smiles, happy faces and rainbows around here. Last week, when I took Sophie to have her six month old pictures taken, she did great for about the first hour and then had a mini meltdown. It was, of course, my fault. I let her lean a little too far and bump her head. Bad mom moment. The photographer asked if she could show an unhappy Sophie face on her blog because she wanted to reassure parents that no photo shoot is perfect. You can see the whole post here.

Have I created a monster? Sophie loves the iPhone and even has her own app, Peekaboo Barn.

A Classic Favorite

How is it that you can put a classic toy like the Fisher-Price Rock-A-Stack in front of a baby and they automatically know what to do with it? I guess Fisher-Price knows what they are doing. We picked up this old favorite for Sophie and it was an instant hit.

By the way, chambray shorts are the new jeggings. Now you know.

Home Sweet Home

This weekend I took a few shots of Sophie in front of our house. Who knows if we'll be here for 5 more years or 10, but I want her to be able to look back and see the house she came home to. Seeing her sitting in her Bumbo on our front sidewalk made her look so tiny. Although it feels like she's grown so big, these pictures really put it into perspective.
